Restore Power: Smart Pay meter

We will need you to enter a code into the meter, but only if it’s safe to do so and you can reach the meter from ground level or with the use of a stable stepladder. Please only do this if you’re comfortable doing so, or if you can ask another member of the household or neighbour to help with this.

Step 1: Go to your meter and press B – A – B. Only do this if it’s safe and you can easily reach the meter. If you’re not comfortable, ask someone in your household or a neighbour to help.

Step 2: Open the PrepayPower app and go to the History section. Find your most recent Top-Up(s) and tap on it to see the code. Please note: the app may take longer to load than usual due to high traffic.

Step 3: If it's safe to reach your meter (as outlined in Step 1), follow these steps to enter your Top-Up Code: 

  1. Press A on your meter  

  2. Enter the Top-Up Code from your app  

  3. Press B  

  4. You should see “Accepted” on the screen

Step 4: Your power should be restored. If your power does not turn back on, then please press B – A – B again.
